Beginnings And Endings. . .
While it’s not quite the end of the month, June 2021 is coming to a close. Quickly as well as not so swiftly depending on ones perspective. Some may think “it’s finally here” or exclaim it’s yet another "gone-too-soon" moment. Kinda like a discussion of endings and beginnings - the difference can be quite slight. A “perspective” check-in is a good idea at any time, right?
And when I went looking for quotes, look what I found:
Every beginning is only a sequel, after all, and the book of events is always open halfway through.
Previously unknown to me, my introduction to this author was through a Wikipedia entry which states she was a Nobel Prize winner for literature in 2012.
It highlighted she used ironic precision in her work. I was not familiar with that term but I felt her response to why her body of work was relatively small is a classic. Her response to that question: I have a trash can in my home. I think I would have liked to know her and now she is going to be on my reading list.
And that’s a beginning. And that can start anytime.
