Can we choose to see the beauty or ugly in anything?
Remember, what we see is a choice. We can either see the beauty or the ugly in anything.
For example, in the front, we might see beauty but in the back of the photo, we might see ugly in a flower.
What we choose to see is up to us. Are you seeing the beauty or the ugly in this photo. The same thing goes with life. What are you seeing in someone? Are you seeing his or her beauty or are you seeing the ugly? We all have beauty in us and we all have ugly within in us at times in our life. I know that I used to have a lot of ugly in me. I made changes in my life and I hope I can continue to shine beauty more than I do ugly. We go through stages in our life, when we go through pain in our life. The pain can come through as ugly because of the stage we are in life. Ask yourself this question. Are people seeing the beauty in you or are they seeing the ugly in you? We can have both of these at various stages of our life. For example, losing a loved one. Not doing well financially, having poor health, being bedridden. There are numerous things that can bring out the ugly in us at various stages of our life. What are people seeing in your life. Are they seeing your beauty or are they seeing your ugly. We are all human. We all make mistakes. Continue to forgive one another and do not keep score for this is another way that the ugly will shine through..
We all go through stages in our life. We all go through pain. We all go through loss in our life so just realize that you and I may be at a different stage in our life.
Look at this photo that I took in my front yard and reflect on the good the bad and even the ugly. Do we want others to see the ugly in us? Probably not but we all make mistakes and go through and experience things differently.
When we look at things, are we giving others the benefit of the doubt? Are we forgiving others? Are we giving people the opportunity to be all he or she can be, even though maybe we have heard bad things about him or her. So, are we wanting to show our beauty or ugly? The choices is yours and mine. We can either choose to grow or stay the same or regress.
My name is David Snell and I am trying to see the beauty in everything. For example, I saw a backyard that was full of weeds and it looked ugly at first but then I looked closer and saw weeds with flowers on them and I thought to myself, wow. There is so much beauty in weeds that I never stopped to think about this but I do now. So, are we seeing the beauty or are we seeing the ugly in people and things that people do. We can find beauty if we just look.
