Difference of 'Night & Day' is often thrown out as one of those over used quips. In North Idaho it is meant quite literally when talking about the summer heat.
Many times a buyer from out of town will ask about air conditioning and is taken back when I explain not everyone feels the need for AC in the North Idaho Panhandle. I then explain the difference between North Idaho and most other areas that experience the extreme heat.
We are not an asphalt jungle in North Idaho which helps with the ability for the night to cool drastically from the day time temps. Some very simple household management keeps a home very pleasent. Open the windows at night, fan optional, and close windows in the morning. Closing drapes, and or blinds, during the day will also help keep the inside cooler.
