It's been a long journey for my buyers, one that began approximately 15 years ago with the purchase of a home that was just meant to be a temporary one. Temporary turned into welcoming a puppy and a child to the family and raising both in the home, waiting out a recession and housing market recovery.
They had always dreamt of a detached single family home large enough to host family reunions, with a big kitchen to be able to cook and bake together without bumping into each other, with room for a man cave, office and a craft room, too, a large, private backyard, and a big deck with a view of trees and not neighbors - a beautiful spot to sit, unwind and listen to the birds sing their songs.
Last week, my buyers made their dream come true. After an intense search in a low inventory, competitive market, writing multiple offers, collecting multiple rejections, they have arrived at their destination: HOME, finally! My clients are now proud owners of a split-level home in Sykesville, MD. We've enjoyed a first (but not last) celebratory drink on their new deck, and they are busy perfecting their dream. There's nothing temporary about this one!
Welcome home Rich, Christine, Julia and Bernie! Welcome home!
