...Or why waste a good post?
It’s hard to come up with topics for a post for so many of us. Listings and market reports aside, sometimes the well runs dry when trying to pick a topic for your next post.
Why not follow what many television series do...go for summer reruns or, as done lately, opt for a remake...same premise, different examples or take on the subject.
What you can do…
-Choose a post that you previously wrote and rewrite it.
-Check your blog’s traffic statistics.
You can sort by date, views, comments, likes. There may be a post you wrote that didn’t get the traffic you hoped for, or perhaps there’s one that bears repeating.
-Things change and our own perspectives change as well. Put today’s perspective on this post.
-Add to a post with current trends or statistics. Update the photos in a post.
What you don’t want to do…
Simply copying and pasting an older post won’t help your SEO. It’s far better for you to rewrite the post as mentioned above.
Let’s face it, if it’s been several years since you wrote the post, you’re sure to have a new or fresh perspective on the subject.
One more thing...much as we’d like to believe, not everyone reads our posts and those who do may not remember it.
Heck, I’ve come upon my own posts and did a double-take because I didn’t remember writing them.
You don’t have to take the summer off from blogging but you can make it easier on yourself.
