Dealing With A Busy Lifestyle

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Greenville Central

I think most of us these days are way too busy! It's really easy to be overcome and weighed down by a hectic, busy lifestyle. I know in just my life I juggle 2 jobs, trying to take care of my home, trying to be a good wife, all the involvement with my church, staying connected with my family and enjoying hobbies. Sometimes I just get so tired and feel like my life is spinning out of control! It is one of my greatest priorities to maintain a positive and cheerful attitude in the midst of everything and sometimes it gets really hard when I feel so exhausted. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments on how you deal with your busy lifestyle?

Thanks!

I make a date night with my husband or meet him for lunch atleast 2x a month and try to block time on my schedule for the family on on the weekends. But, I always feel pressured when a last minute appt. comes up.

Connie, It is a never ending battle with all we have going on in our lives.  My company gives a welcome to the industry bag with some useful information to all new agents in our market.  It is a way for us to meet the new agents but most find the gift and the 5-10 miuntes meeting very beneficial.

I recently called a new agent who wanted to schedule a time for me to meet with her.  Afte several reschedules I finally had to pop in on her a drop of the gift bag (required by my company) and a quick hi.  I hate dropping in on people but I know new agents are not too busy with business to take a few minutes.  So, I must assume she was too busy with her personal life to meet a person who might help her advance her career.  No wonder there is so much turn over amongst Realtors.

If a person can not get their personal life under control he/she will never succeed as a Realtor or Mortgage Originator.

I agree with the post. My wife and I have a weekly date night (we really try to make it a priority) and it helps keep our priorites in line. Prioritize and shedule. Schedule in time for yourself (hobbies, socializing, etc) and everything else. I suggest that you set daily or weekly hours for real estate. I know that it is hard but you have to say no to some things, it helps keep life a little more sane. If you can't do it alone maybe a real esate or life coach could help.. Good Luck

I find it is refreshing to recharge with a good book in a quiet place. Sometimes having the discipline to actually take that time is lacking at least for me.
