Wordless Wednesday...Having Whimsy In Our World

Last week we finally got around to trying Goodson’s Cafe in Tomball, TX.  Their reputation has been that it serves the best chicken-fried steak in town. 

 

This fellow greeted us when we walked in…

 




It brought a smile to my face and set the tone for our dinner. 

 

I love whimsical things. They seem to be reminding me to chill out and not take life so seriously.

Hi Kathy - that is a very whimsical cow!  I enjoy this kind of whimsy as well.  We've got a friend that for years has said....I hate whimsical stuff.  Guess what, we finally got him to 'play' more and now he appreciates the whimsy of some of the goofy stuff we do and introduce to others.   Very fun!  Have a whimsical day!

Grant Schneider it's like entertainment, isn't it!  There was a restaurant in Orlando that had a train that ran along the ceiling and little spots of whimsy all around. 

Sham Reddy CRS I love it too!  It may be why I love watching a good magic act. I like to believe that it's possible.

Raymond Henson, eXp Realty Ohhh that one looks really good! This one was ok, not bad but I've had better. One of my favorite meals is chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. And if there is a peach cobbler around..all the better.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel chicken fried steak is not something you'd want to have often but when you get a good one...just like comfort food!!! If you do have one though, make sure they serve it with white gravy!!!

Hi Kathy Streib - Whimsical things are like that proverbial smile from a stranger, you smile back when you see it!  The same goes for whimsey.  Your image of a whimsical steer reminded me of a program that Sedona initiated called "Javelina On Parade".  It was designed after a Chicago program called "Cows On Parade".  I will revive a post where I talk about it!  Thank you for the reminder.  Here is a tease image...
