On June 2, 2021 I became a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). Why did I do this and what does it mean?
I have always been interested in the international scene. I was born in Panama. I spent the first few years of my life in Germany and I lived there again as a young adult.
I have traveled to over 12 different countries and lived in 4, including the United States. About 55% of my clients have been from countries outside the United States, including my very first clients who are from Canada.
As a CIPS designee, I have studied different countries around the world and have become familiarized with the different aspects of working with people from other cultures.
What I've learned is that
People relocate to the US for work.
People from the US get transferred abroad.
People invest in property when they move to the US for work or school.
People in the US are increasingly retiring abroad.
There are more than a dozen countries that have a "Golden Visa" program in which foreign investors can gain citizenship through investment.
I'm excited to bring this knowledge and expertise to my clients.
