The city of Madison annexed another 180 acres of Limestone County Monday Night.
The area being annexed is within a mile of the proposed Madison high school and is close to the proposed site for the new VW plant.

The annexation of land in Limestone County has been a very hot topic this year. Limestone county officials have tried to stop it by introducing legislation which failed to get enough votes. However, the attempt to introduce the legislation caused many land owners to annex quickly. Bottom line 1000's of acres of land have gone into Madison and Huntsville over the past 5 months because of this.
