A Tall Perch With Snacks

A while back I posted a blog about our yucca plants and the tall sprout with it's flowers. The flowers have gone and they have left behind seed pods.  The birds are now looking for a snack of the seeds within the pods.

As they chew, they will knock some to the grounds and then our yucca garden will grow larger.

Seems that these birds will have plenty to feast on for a while. Larry and I have been enjoying watching some of the birds in our backyard enjoying some snacks too!

That looks like a plentiful food supply for the birds.  It's likely to keep them well fed for awhile.

Good morning, Ed... not being much of a gardener (well, not at all), I found this interesting. And I loved the picture of the birds sitting on the yucca.

Nature repeats the cycle through its large circle of wildlife. Love that birds take advantage of food supplies when presented Ed and they are fun to watch. Happy Monday to you!

Hello Ed - and it appears your garden "is always open".  And that's good.

Ed, those pods are pretty large, and sounds like like a meal than a snack!

Hi Ed Silva - How funny.  I have yuccas that I have to pull the seed pods off the flowering chutes because the pods drag the chutes down toward the ground.
