Feed Your Business

Sometimes door knocking can be intimidating, but there is no better way to make new connections within the community... or, is there?  Sponsoring a charitable event - like a food drive to support local food backs - is a great excuse to knock on doors and introduce yourself.  Feed your database, and spend your time doing something that will make you feel good about yourself!

Our office participates in food drives twice a year, in the spring and the fall.  Every agent selects the area they will canvass - most of us choose an area of about 250 homes  - generally an area we farm.  We each determine what combination of marketing we will use to get the message out, and how we will collect, but we all have the same deadline.  What a great promotional opportunity for our office and ourselves.  We meet neighbors, post photos in the newspapers and on our web sites.  It is hard work, but very rewarding knowing that you can incorporate business prospecting with doing something good for the community around you.

Types of marketing....

  • Door knocking
  • Door to door handouts
  • Signs
  • Direct mailers
  • Phone calls
  • Press Releases
  • Email Campaigns

In our office, this project is coordinated through our local Keller Williams Agents for Charity Committee (which also coordinates other charitable events throughout the year).  Click the link to read more.

Thank you for remembering me when you have a referral for the Northern Virginia area!

I love to door knock and people are surprised when you are not there to sell anything.  I door knock for open house invites - just to say Hi - and to let people know of community events.

Hi Vickie;

I do love doing the door knocking, but I also do the others as well.

We've been doing door knocking with a "Pick Your Neighbor" Open House invitation.  It's an actual "invitation" attached to the flyer.  The invitation states that we'll have foreclosure info, market stats, school and community info as well as refreshements.  It has really helped our OH turnout and been a good way to get in front of people.  Now that it's 113+ it's a little hard but we're walking with flags tomorrow!  ; -)
