Acadia National Park  A Treat For The Eyes

Our National Park System offers a wide variety of pleasures and are found all over the country.  The smallest park is located in Maine, adjacent to Bar Harbor.  With a long shoreline there are beautiful cuts and jogs that offer majestic views.

We are spending a long weekend in Maine just to appreciate the smallest of our National Parks.

We were able to stop along the eastern shore at what was once known as Frenchman's Bay. It was a land grant to a French noble who gave his name to the highest point on the park, Cadillac Mountain.

And with a very long sunny and sandy beach, there is time for a brief swim. Although summer water temps in August are a balmy 50F.

Really beautiful, Ed... trust you are enjoying your weekend. Calling water temps of 50 degrees balmy is an interesting description!
