A Comparative Advantage. . .

A Comparative Advantage. . .

I dare not go to any discussion of Economics.   There are far more informed people on the topic(and countless other subjects).

The other day, I read an article and comparative advantage was mentioned.  It was a distant memory but it was kinda nice to recognize a term that I don’t toss about in casual conversation these days. And quite frankly, never have.

My thoughts this time were not about economics but the broader subject of the power of choice.  And I certainly don’t claim any expertise in that arena either.

Separately, I found this quote totally outside my world of knowledge but the advice is good.

Don’t look too far into the future, just look at tomorrow.

One day at a time.  Can you win tomorrow?  Can you make progress?  The answer is yes, you have a choice and tomorrow you’re going to win.

Joe Wicks

I am not sure a “win” per se is possible each time but I definitely get the point.  While the author and the quote were previously unknown to me we can pick up something from these words.  At least I did.

Morning Michael.

Haven't had my coffee yet this morning, but I get the idea.  While I haven't always won, that doesn't keep me from trying.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS - the quotes you regular include in your posts along with the photos you share provide  many opportunities to ponder and I appreciate that.

Endre Barath, Jr. - well, what can I say?  What can anyone say - comments left on posts, answers given and all sorts of things in daily life share an insight.  Often of a person, a situation/circumstance or sometimes it's just a glimpse of something much larger.

James Dray - enjoy the coffee and the inspiration that follows.    Have a good day and I know you do much more than try.

Living one day at a time is a good way to live in my opinion.  Taking what comes our way and dealing with it on a daily basis.

Michael, I would ponder about a good answer here, but too tired.   Was up and out WAY too early this morning.  Suki had her laser declaw, and had to BE THERE at 7, and this vet was not close.

Michael, according to the vet she hasn't HAD the surgery yet, and they will be keeping her overnight.  I can pick her back up tomorrow after 10:30 am.

Hi Michael:

I really liked the quote and it resonates in many ways. I certainly like the idea of making choices...don't most of us...as opposed to having them made for us, knowing that every day, from the moment I get up, I have lot of choices I can make.

Jeff

You may not win every day, but as long as you at least learn from the experience of the day it should be considered as valuable as a win.

I play a lot of sports and you learn quickly that if you work really hard today, you will win tomorrow, except for golf.  I never get better at golf!  There is always something.
