Condos are found throughout most of Danbury. Community range from anywhere to 2 units up over 500 homes. City regulations mandate they are must be serviced by city water & city sewer. They are found in both the 06810 & 06811 zip codes of Danbury.
They are found in various locations exactly throughout the city, including Padanaram Road, Federal Road, Newtown Road, South Street, Mill Plain Road, Hayestown and Shelter Rock. There also a couple of smaller communities found within City Center, Pembroke,Germantown, Hospital Area and Lake Avenue areas of Danbury. Due to lack of utility services, they are not found in the Long Ridge, Great Plain, Miry Brook, Aunt Hack and King Street areas of Danbury.
A couple of points of interest:
-Crystal Bay & Poet's Landing are the only units directly on Candlewood Lake and I highly doubt there will be new ones permitted.
-Unlike other parts of the country, Danbury does not have condos set on golf courses. Also unlike other parts on the country, there are only currently 3 very small 55+ deeded communties for condos.
-The large communities are typically found away from city center, as that is where land was available for devolpment.
-Most of the properties were built after 1975 with construction going through today
-Most units have 2 levels and not all properties have a garage
-A couple of communities were orignally constructed as apartments and then later converted
-They all have different rules & regulations
-Some units are similiar to others in town, whereas some have their own unique setup. 
-Lastly, consider that prices can range within each community itself, and in the city of Danbury-prices can range from $90,000 to over $1,000,000.
