What Is An Outside, Water Intrusion?

What is outside, Water Intrusion?  How do you get it?

This is a job, that I got from a homeowner, who used another restoration company, who did not take care of his Water Intrusion.  He had water coming from the outside of the home to the inside of the home.  The other company did not correct the issue and I had to completely redo the job and correct the issue.  I asked the homeowner, why he did not call the other restoration company to make it right and he said he did not have time to deal with the other company and for me just to make the problem go goodbye and so I did.

I had to completely remove sheetrock and insulation in the wall cavity and clean the wall cavity as well as seal the outside window area, where water was coming into the home.  Also, known as Water Intrusion.   While I was there, I sealed the other windows as well.

When Life gets Messy or someone else makes a mess of a job, clean it up and correct the issue or else, you will continue to have issues.

High and dry or it goes bye-bye.  That is for sure.

So many have caulking and sealing issues around their home and when this happens, welcome to water damage and mold damage.  Do I hear wood rot and more?

Good morning David. I learned the lesson the hard way many years ago. Bought new construction and had water intrusion. The builder dod nothing and the first contractor sealed the foundation. Intrusion continued. Found the source myself in frustration and remedied it. Choose wisely! Enjoy your day.
