Washing Ones Hair
The Meaning Of Priorities. . .
At the risk of dating myself once again with a reference that may have never been known; the book, the musical(and later, the movie) South Pacific came to mind.
It all comes together for me when hair-washing and
priorities connect in an odd yet very natural way. Perhaps you have heard or even seen evidence when the saying “your lack of proper planning does not constitute an emergency for me” seems appropriate.
There is no lack of priorities. For others and for
ourselves. But the priorities for an
individual does not necessarily make it a universal must
do and definitely not a must do now as in immediately if at all. It’s definitely subjective. Managing priorities
along with setting expectations go hand in hand. Kinda like shampoo-then rinse-followed by a repeat of the process. But the regimen that works best for me may not be one that works for another - in fact, it may not work at all.
Sometimes hair-washing is the priority-of-the-moment or maybe it’s a subtle(or even a snide) clue that one has other things far more important that are “calling”. Just a Tuesday thought and one that might make sense on any day of the week.
