Washing Ones Hair

And

The Meaning Of Priorities. . .

At the risk of dating myself once again with a reference that may have never been known;  the book, the musical(and later, the movie) South Pacific came to mind.

It all comes together for me when hair-washing and

priorities connect in an odd yet very natural way.   Perhaps you have heard or even seen evidence when the saying “your lack of proper planning does not constitute an emergency for me” seems appropriate.

There is no lack of priorities. For others and for

ourselves. But the priorities for an

individual does not necessarily make it a universal must

do and definitely not a must do now as in immediately if at all. It’s definitely subjective.  Managing priorities

along with setting expectations go hand in hand.  Kinda like shampoo-then rinse-followed by a repeat of the process.  But the regimen that works best for me may not be one that works for another - in fact, it may not work at all.

Sometimes hair-washing is the priority-of-the-moment or maybe it’s a subtle(or even a snide) clue that one has other things far more important that are “calling”.  Just a Tuesday thought and one that might make sense on any day of the week.

The image in this post is from canstockphoto.com.  Is Santorini as the image depicts your idea of a priority? Perhaps somewhere else. Maybe something entirely different. . . Often priorities are different for each of us and even vary for us based upon a variety of factors.

Kathy Streib - that's so true for many if not, most, people.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty - your comment makes sense since you live and do business along the Space Coast.  When you were in Highlands Ranch Colorado were you operating at a mile high level?

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS - part(ly) perspective and partial pondering?

Nina Hollander, Broker - it's much simpler for me - my hair is pretty much wash-and-wear.

Is it true that dating oneself causes hair on your palms? And then do you need to shampoo that too?

Michael, my priorities have changed in the past 19 months thanks to the Pandemic, the shutdown, the politics... and the list goes on and on... so with that said a simple relaxing dinner and a relaxing night is good enough for me no need to got to the picture of your choice:)Endre

Morning Michael.

I do remember back in the day when I had hair to wash.  It was wonderful, now of course in the last decade or so my priorities have changed.  Especially in the last 18-19 months.  Just row with the flow

Now, I'm going to have that tune, "Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair," rumbling around in my head for the rest of the day, Michael.🙂

Hi Michael:

Your photo makes me want to visit Santorini...although it's not a priority and likely never will be. It's pretty important, I think, to know what our priorities are, and to be aware when they need to shift, personal and otherwise.

Michael Jacobs - I have never been to Santorini but in my dreams I wish I could be a witch, wiggle my nose and be there on one of the islands surrounded by the Aegean Sea. What a lovely thought and an idea.

Unfortunately, my priorities have shifted and I am committed to staying put in Texas. I do feel lucky that none of my high priorites are getting pushed back and rescheduled by others who I need to accomplish my priorities. So far, so good! I don't appreciate when I have a priority and someone else has an excuse.

Santorini really sounds like a good idea but I really need to visit my family. It has been tooooooooooooooooooo long.

Jeff Dowler, CRS - there are plenty of places in our own country(and even in California) that can compete quite favorably with the landscape indicated by the image in this post.

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - the interference of priorities can be a nuisance.  To say the least.

Hi Michael Jacobs - I had the opportunity to visit Santorini back in 2007. But I couldn't make it to Sicily when I was visiting the Med. So, Sicily is high on my list of "priority" travel. However, my daily priorities focus on family and clients.  Have a great Thursday.
