During the past seven days Dona Ana county has seen 112 new properties come on the market, 110 price changes, 62 properties sold, and 29 expired. This means that the market is not quite as good as it was a year ago. We have been seeing it pick up as spring approaches, and houses are still appreciating, albeit at a much slower rate then the past 2-3 years. Now could be the best time to buy as sellers will negotiate a bit on the price and maybe give some concessions towards closing costs. Las Cruces in general has always been a strong market so we have not had any of the big seller's concessions that make it to the news.
