Wellness Inspired Tips for your Home Office

Working from home is the new normal in 2020 and this brings on a set of new challenges. It’s time to revisit your space and set it up for better health. Here are tips that may help;

Incorporate movement. Prolonged sitting can increase your risk for chronic health problems. When you sit, you use less energy than you do when you stand or move. You might start by simply standing rather than sitting when you have the chance or finding ways to walk while you work.

Upgrade your chair. Choose one that’s customizable for comfort. If you can afford to do nothing else, a fully adjustable chair is a must. The other, and perhaps the most preferable option, would be a fully adjustable desk. However, the price of such a desk may not make this option practical. Another effective (and cheaper) option is to use an adjustable chair and footrest to secure postural comfort.

Improve Air Quality. Consider a small air purifier just for your office space. Air purifiers essentially work by sanitizing the air, which may include pollutants, allergens, and toxins.

Bring in Natural Light. Try to work near a window. Increasing your natural light where you spend the most time, be it at home or the workplace, is equally important.

Hi Lisa,  Thank you for sharing these tips for a healthier home office.  Natural lighting makes a big difference - air purifiers are great as well.
