9/11. Remember what you were doing when the news came on the TV?

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage

The Awful Day.....9/11

It was an awful day and I'll bet you are the same as I am, remembering exactly what you were doing when the news came to us.

I was at our real estate office, in the workroom with an appraiser from another city, checking on a house he was coming to appraise.  I remember the house and the family who was letting me list it.  I remember the absolute shocked look on his face.  I remember everyone gathering around the TV trying to find out what was next.  As the news got worse and worse, we wondered if we had enough gas in our vehicles.  One agent immediately rushed to the filling station.  Filling stations became over-run with customers waiting in line.  One of our agents had become stranded in another state at the airport where planes were grounded.

It was truly an awful day and now we are reliving it.  We are thankful that we survived.

Hi Barbara- I do remember that day and where I was. I was working from home and had the news on mute but when I saw what was going on...all work stopped.

Hello Barbara - I haven't met a person alive at that time who doesn't remember that day.
