Carol's Epic Road Trip: Day 17 - Country Club of Terre Haute

By
Education & Training with Although I'm retired, I love sharing my knowledge and learning from other real estate industry professionals.
Day 17 of my road trip was another fun day on the golf course. It turned out the lady who originally invited me to come to play at the Country Club at Terre Haute, Indiana was out of town so she made arrangements for two other members (Jennifer and Wendy) to play with me.

I just love that I'm getting to play courses that I wouldn't be able to play without being a guest of a member at these special courses.

The Country Club of Terre Haute is an old club that was established in 1898. It is a beautiful course in a secluded wooded setting.

No birdie shots today but I played well and am convinced even if I hadn't it would have been a great day. We finished in about 3 1/2 hours and enjoyed a leisurely lunch of Avocado Toast and wine in the clubhouse.

Hello Carol - I admit to being unknowledgeable about golf courses across the country but 1898 does surprise me a bit.  Thank you again for sharing the stories and the photos from your road trip.

The greens at that country club look so very lush and green.  Of course, I'm living in California where drought has caused restrictions in watering our now browning lawns.

Carol,

What a beautiful golf course you played on.  And I learned about avocado toast in Utah!  It was funny as we had not seen avocado toast in avocado capital...but it is here now!  LOL A

Hello Carol, That picture of that hole looks interesting,  Use to love playing old courses with mature trees.  I would have asaying "Thanks You Monkey" when I would hit a tree.

Carol- that big smile on your face says it all!!!!  I am not a golfer but I'd imagine that part of the joy of playing has to be the scenery!!
