Me, Myself
And
Some Thoughts On The Letter “I”...
It is well-known by most that using the “I” word too often is ill-advised. This post isn’t about that. Not exactly although my ideas(far beyond fuzzy feelings) are clearly inserted here and there as self-realization moves from that place of continuous thought and a work-in-progress to somewhere a bit closer to practiced reality.
For sure, introspection, came to mind upon initial investigation in the mirror the other day. Come on, it’s 'there' staring back. Darn reflections. Not quite in a highly inquisitive manner but definitely inquiring. While interesting might be a word that comes to some minds in such a situation - a different form of the word came to me that morning. Interested. As in increasing knowledge of the things around.
Maybe it’s 'intimate awareness'. Now that’s an 'IA' alternative that is much different from the state abbreviation for Iowa let alone for Internal Affairs. Would itemizing such a list of words be
illuminating to anyone?
How often is the letter “I” used to begin a statement or a conversation? And even when it’s self-talk that doesn't necessarily make it imaginary.
Of course made up words enter many conversations and one of many pet peeves in the world of words - irregardless - it isn't used that often these days or has it become invisible or is it simply ignored??? Do people care? Even an iota?
Well, enough of me - what do you think of “I”??? Letter-wise, of course. As for this post, you're right, it's written in italics.
