The Renovation of The Granbury Historic Square

By

Welcome to Granbury, Texas located along the beautiful Brazos River. The town Square is the center of this quaint, historic little city in the North Texas area. As you step onto the Square, you will feel as if you have been transported to another century gone by.

Several entrepreneurs are purchasing many of the buildings and are lovingly restoring them to their beauty. One of the largest undertakings is happening in one of the corner buildings located at 122 N. Crockett St. This 9,000 s.f. two-story building is getting a facelift as I write this.

The downstairs portion of the building will feature two retail spaces with a third space for a small sandwich shop or other specialty shop. The main retail space is being called, "The Market" on the Square. This Market will be a spectacular home decor store featuring furnishings, fixtures, a gardening area, a men's area, an infusion of hand-selected antiques, and so much more.

The entire upstairs of the building is being transformed into a seven-room, boutique hotel. Each room will be decorated with a country French flair. The open-raftered ceiling and the original stone walls will provide guests with an authentic experience. Rustic yet elegant will be the feel.

The hotel has been named N on the Square. If you can imagine the letter, "N" inside of a square, this is how the creative name was derived. Clever and easy to brand!

Stay tuned for updates as we watch how the beautiful Square continues to be transformed. If you are seeking a great weekend get-a-way, Granbury is a great option. Wonderful places to stay, restaurants, shops, live music, and wine bars!

We hope to see you soon.

That is a classic looking building and if they have cleaned up the outside to that facade, they did a wonderful job

Yes, Ed Silva - my husband and I are the owners and he is the general contractor on the job. We've replaced the old windows upstairs, put up a new balcony which will soon have iron railing, and have re-painted all of the downstairs exterior colors. It's been a haul but we are loving it.

Paula,

What a lovely building to restore.  We have seen similar building in Salt Lake City that were restored, and they are a pleasure to keep history around.  A

Morning Paula.

So my mind works differently than most.  My question, is that going to be your new office space?

Hi Paula... I so enjoy your updates on Granbury. Always makes me want to jump on a plane and go see it for myself. Love the idea of a little boutique hotel... would be fun to experience that.
