This Week...Friends and Family Time
The primary reason we moved back to Houston was to be closer to family. We have not regretted it for a moment.
Make space in your life for the things that matter, for family and friends, love and generosity, fun and joy. Without this, you will burn out in mid-career and wonder where your life went. Jonathan Sacks
This week we had my niece and her family over while their power was out due to TS Nicholas. That’s what you do, right! During our freeze in February, they had several relatives and a friend at their home.
You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. Desmond Tutu
And I had lunch with a group of 3 women who are beautiful on the inside and out. Although some of us have met for lunch throughout Covid, this was the first time that we all were together.
There are friends, there’s family, and then there are friends that become family.
And then this morning, my dear neighbor came over and offered to mow our lawn. He happened to look out his window and saw me awkwardly pushing our mower. I was having fun while waiting on Larry to put on his ear protectors.
Family and friends are hidden treasures, seek them and enjoy their riches. Wanda Hope Carter
My sweet neighbor looked out the window and saw me. He immediately came out because he thought something might be wrong with Larry. He was going to offer to mow our lawn.
We need more of him!!!
Hope you are with friends and/or family this weekend!
