I had a call from San Jose a few years ago and the client said can you do the 203k consulting for a project in Felton, CA? I looked and we had 29 projects going from Santa Cruz to San Jose, Morgan Hill, with two in Felton on going at that time, I said "sure we can go there." And we did.
We go where you need us. I had one in Alturas, CA about 40 miles from the Oregon border, and my lender was in Minnisota. I took the job because it wasn't any closer to anyone else and no one would have taken it. When the lender called me and informed me he just did a mapping of the project site and my office in Fairfield, CA it had to be 10 hours each way. How can you make money like that? I told him that I didn't make any money on that job but he wouldn't have made any money if I hadn't taken that job for him. Look at it as an advertising gimmick, I'll go where you need me to go.
