I love attending the Tuesday Zoom meetings here in Active Rain! There is so much talent and inspiration in our membership. These meetings are a great way to get to know each other better. Appreciating the time and effort of those who attend and keep the meetings going is important to the overall validity of our website. “Seeing” everyone virtually isn’t like meeting them in person but a close second.
There are many ongoing changes to bring our AR platform up-to-date. These modifications are essential and we need to understand the “why, “what” and “how” it takes to rebuild our website. We are given the chance to ask questions and offer input which benefits us all but like anything it takes patience to overcome the hurdles and inconveniences of renovations. It’s kind of like building a home, mistakes are made, in-put is needed to make the right adjustments to end up with the finished product we are all hoping to see built.
I for one love the comradeship member’s exhibit in trying to find a solution through constructive criticism and encouragement to the crew trying to assemble our “more relevant” look. Being an Active participant is far more fruitful than sitting on the side lines grumbling!
You will always learn something pertinent by attending the Tuesday meetings. Debe Maxwell, CRS encourages (as well as others) to showcase members expertise. The presentations are so interesting! I’ve learn about AUD’s and their answer to our affordable housing crisis from John Arendsen and Craig Daniels always brings common sense and a wealth of information, loved his Google Photo for Agents presentation.
Jim Paulson gave a wonderful over view on Eviction Moratoriums, Forebearance and Foreclosures across the US. It was truly an informative presentation.
Brian England brought a whole new meaning to educating the public on “Vacasa.” It’s become a house hold name! In case you haven’t heard it’s a vacation home/investment property management company that takes owning or renting a vacation home to the next level! Brian’s presentation was excellent and I learned so much!
What would I like to see? I like presentations on a broad spectrum of topics....it doesn’t always have to be real estate related. Some subjects I’d like to see presented:
Staging tips on why to hire a professional staging consultant. Of course Kristine Ginsberg with Elite Staging (she use to be active in AR and is an awesome stager) would be an exciting presenter. Especially giving tips on creating a lifestyle tailored to your specific buyer demographics.
I always read Bill Spear’s Tuesdays Ambassador posts and his latest post on tips on topics to blog would make an excellent presentation.
A presentation on utilizing social media like Facebook and Instagram to the fullest would be very interesting.
I’ve always felt a house is a “work in progress” and every year popular decorating trends, colors, materials, flooring….what’s in and what’s out becomes available by different sources. It would be fun for someone well versed in the “cutting-edge trends” to present.
This is my entry to Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400’s September Challenge.
