Pay your bills on time. Paying your bills on time helps your credit score,it will help you save money and reduce financial stress.

Keep your credit card balances low. Keeping your balances as low as possible is still helping you move in the right direction and avoid racking up excessive debt.

Don't close old credit cards that have a positive credit history. You'll have to consider the specifics of your situation when deciding whether it makes sense to cancel a credit card or keep your old cards open.

Manage your debt. Consider setting up alerts to remind you when your payments are due or look into whether you might benefit from paying by direct debit.

Limit your applications for new credit. Using a small amount of credit relative to your total limit can indicate good money management and that you do not need to borrow large amounts of money.

Monitor your credit report. Credit monitoring services can guard against identity theft.
