One of our favorite words in the English language is "moxie". Here is the definition:
- The ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage.
- Aggressive energy; initiative.
- Skill; know-how.
No, I did not misspell the word in the title. Moxi in Santa Barbara is also known as The Wolf Museum of Innovation + Exploration.
The following paragraph is from their website:
The Innovation Workshop is MOXI's very own makerspace open to all museum guests. The space includes a variety of tools from the hi-tech to the no-tech and everything in between. Stop in on your visit to explore, make + create with us!
October in the Innovation Workshop: Create something creepy and find some inky inspiration. Craft a mask for spooky season, design a mini monster, explore the possibilities with ink and more!
Activities in the Innovation Workshop rotate monthly at the start of the new month and range from upcycling projects to engineering challenges to working on collaborative projects and everything in-between! Included with general admission.
In keeping with the spooky October theme, they have an innovation project called Monsters Ink. On Friday, October 12, they have a happy hour. The price of admissions $12 and this is would be a wonderful opportunity to explore all 3 floors.
Every Tuesday, they have Toddler Tuesdays, from 10:00AM to Noon. The exhibits look fun, and we have not had the time to explore this museum. It is on our list!
This is our second entry into the October Challenge.
It is hosted by Kathy Streib
Thank you Kathy for this great idea!
