Sunrise Time Lapse Video of Marshall Meadow in Mount Vernon Ohio

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Stars Realty

When I woke up this morning I looked outside and noticed there was a heavy cloud cover and a thick layer of fog near the ground.  I instantly thought this was going to be a great morning for a sunrise time lapse video so off I went to Marshall Meadow in Mount Vernon, Ohio with my camera gear to capture some sunrise time lapse video footage.

If you are a fan of time lapse videos let me know if there is a location that you would like for us to film around Knox County Ohio in the comments below.  I will do my best to work in your request in a future video.

Thanks for watching!

Sam- I have never seen anything like this. I can't stop going back to look at it!!!  How long did you have to stand there watching the sun rise???

Thanks Kathy!   I actually mounted my camera gear to a park sign so that the camera would remain secure and not have any image shake.  The camera was recording for about an hour and I started about 30 minutes before sunrise to capture the cloud motion and fog.

What kind of camera gear do you use Sam?  This is really really cool!

Thanks Anna!  I actually shot this one with a GoPro Hero 10 using a camera mount and tripod.  The trick is to lock the explosure before you start shooting and do the math to figure out how many images per second you want to shoot.  Most video is shot at 30 frames a second so there are some calculations required to figure out the desired frame rate and the length of video you want.

I am a fan of sunrises. And, I often swim laps at my local health club in the hour of dawn.  It's a wonderful way to begin the day.

Good morning Grant!  Thank you and I will shoot some more sunrise and sunset time-lapse videos from one of our lakes here in Knox County Ohio.  The reflection of the sun and clouds in the time-lapse video adds an entirely unique dimension to the video.

Gorgeous! Something about a sunrise and a sunset that is so captivating. There are locations where we can get some great views. I love coming home on the toll road because at just the right time of day, you'll see some of the most gorgeous sunsets.

WOW! Sam Miller this is an awesome video and the music is perfect with it.  I love it!  My husband had to come in my office as he couldn't figure out what I was listening to - he was impressed and wondered how the heck you do this?  I can see how you could have a lot of fun making these videos!  WOW!

Thanks Anna!  I shot this time-lapse video using a GoPro mounted using a clamp so that the camera didn't move during the shoot.  Most video cameras shoot 30 frames a second and I set my camera to only shoot a frame every 2 seconds so it sped up the video 60 times faster giving it a feeling of rapid motion.

Thank You Debe!  I, like you are a huge fan of sunrises and sunsets.  Setting up your camera to shoot these types of videos isn't difficult if you have some patience, a huge digital camera card and an external battery to keep the camera recording so that the internal battery doesn't go dead.
