Like before the real estate market has been on fire even during the Covid 19 lockdown days.  People have been buying, flipping, and selling. That is even more active in Silicon Valley due to relaxed requirement mandating employees that they can work out of their home. Commuting does not seem to be an issue right now as most companies are prosper. The rental market has finally come down to a realistic level.

Near high tech centers homes are extremely desirable.  Not sure one can get 2-3 million dollar loans. The buyers do not seem not able to come up with a huge downpayment thanks to their employers generous stock options.
