Zoom Call With Katerina Gasset 5 Latest Things Happening in SEO
This weeks Zoom Call was for me at least a Throwback to the early event called RainCamps. The information came out at a pace that was fast and furious and while taking notes, I would wonder if I would ever understand what was being offered.
The call was given by Katerina Gasset and for all that know here, for years she and here husband would offer information to make us better bloggers. They had been working to grow their business and even gave instructions to help people that sought their knowledge.
The call was an hour long and she managed to pack, for me at least, 2 hours worth of information into that call. I offer my recollection and apologize up front to Katerina.
The algorithms for getting exposure to information on the internet are ever evolving and as Google has the prime position getting exposure to information means understanding what Google looks for. Most of what we have done in the past is changing and at the lest here' an insight into what needs to be addressed in the future to get prime position.

The information offered needs to come forth with well thought out content and delivered in a manner that demonstrates this knowledge. Cryptic tidbits won't get attention, but in depth delivery of the subject matter will get attention and that desired label of Expertise.
The authority with which the information is delivered is important. The information needs to be well researched and thoughtful. The writer must understand what it is they are trying to project and ensure that that message is being delivered properly. Visuals help and at the very least originality is key as well.
Research is important and checking out similar titles is encouraged so as to allow the writer to see what has been offered and to present similar or more enhanced information in a better context.
Rich Snippet
This is that first description of a search subject prior to the results being displayed. The content of the blog post should be detailed in a manner to offer insight as well as limit to 50 pica characters. Enough space should be allowed as Katerina offered to present the writer's phone number as part of the title. This gets a very direct response and when she and her husband would rite and post information going specifically for that Snippet, they got prime position 79 out of 90 times. Keyword Research and Backlinks
Knowing what we want as our focus for a blog, allows us to develop the keywords that we want the spiders to seek. Knowing how to chase the analytics with a title would be important and need not be expensive to get into a search site to help. It can be done by creating the desired title and plugging it into a search box to see what ese is there that is similar. Focusing as close to the desired results is similar to getting a good long tail search going. until one is obtained which has little or no competition.
Backlinks need more attention than previously worked as the Google spiders are looking for high quality. For example, Google considers ActiveRain to be high quality source of information and if our blogs are on ActiveRain, we have high quality backlinks, even though it is out cumulative blogs that make ActiveRain the resource it is. In simpler terms, if ActiveRain likes us we must be important.
Google My Business
We all have the ability to work for Google business page that gives us further credibility. It is a service that involves work on our part and would give us additional credibility as real estate professionals. Here we need to tread lightly as when creating our age, we cannot overstep the rules of Brokerage.

YouTube Videos SEO
Relatively simple here. Google is the primary search engine and they also own YouTube. Creating and inserting a video to our blogs that links back to YouTube will literally make a search spider smile, if there is such a thing as a smiling spider.
Videos should offer additional information to our posts and not be too long.
