San Diego County's population currently stands at 3.34 million.

Among all of these, Valley Center stands out for a number of reasons.

Read on to learn more about this beautiful area, and why buying property here is a great idea.

Why Valley Center?

It is more sparsely populated than many other areas in San Diego County. This makes it a great option for those looking to escape the busy atmosphere of city life while staying in Southern California.

Valley Center is located in Northern San Diego County, well inland. It is almost 40 miles from Downtown San Diego, but the city is easily accessible via I-15.

It enjoys the best of California's climate, with dry, mild conditions all year.

The area is only a short distance from Carlsbad, Escondido, San Marcos, Oceanside, and Vista.

Despite its rural setting, Valley Center also has plenty to offer those who like to have fun. The area is home to two casino resorts, which attract crowds and create employment, as well as providing entertainment opportunities for locals.

Developments

A project known as Park Circle is currently underway in the Valley Center area. This revamp of the area will offer a host of new amenities.

Among the planned additions are 632 new family homes and 34,000 square feet of retail space. Also planned are community parks, neighborhood walks and trails, a recreation center and clubhouse with sports courts and a pool, and a large central gathering area.

Property Values

Median house and condo value in Valley Center in 2017 stood at just over $570,000. This is slightly above the Californian average.

Valley Center's property prices reflect the stunning quality of its homes, coupled with the desirability of the area.

Schools

In terms of schools, your children will have a number of options. Valley Center's public school program includes three elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school.

Highly-rated elementary, middle, and high schools can be found in all the nearby areas listed above as well.

Escondido also offers a number of charter schools, including a K-8 charter and a Montessori charter.
