If ever I was was at my grandma house early enough, she would always make me breakfast. This was a stable for my breakfast from her.
Ingredients:
8 large russet potatoes, peeled
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
in a large saucepan, cover potatoes with water. Bring water to a boil and cook until tender, about 20 minutes. Let cool in a refrigerator overnight.
The next morning she would heat butter in a large skillet. Shred potatoes and add to the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown on bottom, flip and brown on the other side.
Would go great with my eggs and toast and bacon she would make for me.
