Yesterday, I had the great pleasure of meeting our own Carol Williams right here in Granbury, Texas! Carol as many of you know, is traveling the country and taking time to meet up with lots of Active Rainer's!
We met up at a local barbeque place on the lake and just enjoyed getting to know one another in person. Through our blogging, we have become friends and it just seemed as if we were catching up. What a wonderful platform we have with Active Rain. And if you haven't yet discovered that this blogging is just about business, then you have missed the mark.
I loved being with Carol and hearing all about her adventures around the country and the other Rainer's that she has met up with. She has certainly put a lot of miles on her car but she has really put on the smiles to our AR family. I know I was blessed to have her stop by our cute little town.
We took a tour through our historic Square and she was able to see our latest project, N on the Square. We love giving tours of our town and the projects that are going on. Now, when she comes back, she can stay at the completed hotel.
The best part of our visit was the "visiting" part. Getting to know our Active Rain friends is a must! If you are traveling, make sure and look up who the Rainer's are in that area and carve out some time to meet them. As we both discussed, life is so precious and when we take the time to connect, it is a wonderful thing.
