Saturday Smiles: Making Hay & Delivering Hay While the Sun Shines!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Yesterday as we were driving for a lunch appointment, we spotted this truck.  The driver was delivering hay somewhere.  He was past the Polo grounds, and we think he was going to the stables further down the road.  We have a large equestrian community in our town.

The common idiom. "make hay while the sun shines", came to mind. According to the Cambridge dictionary  it means: 1. to make good use of an opportunity while it lasts 2. to make good use of an opportunity while it lasts!

Wishing you an abundance of Saturday Smiles!

Cheers, Ron & Alexandra

I have seen the round version in the fields of the country side.  Haystacks are the norm in Europe, and Monet painted them.  A

My mind often goes in all kinds of directions.  I credit that to my excellent education with great teachers I was super fortunate to have both in primary schools and in college undergrad and grad.  They were all about opening one's mind.  A

Seeing hay brings back memories of all the good times we had at my Grandpa's farm when I was a kid.

Heying was a bit of a problem for our farmers and ranchers this year A. as the drought was really tough on them. Many ranchers had to sell off stock because they could not afford to feed them. Have a great day Ron and Alexandra Seigel

Tony Busanich we don't live close to farms, we do have avocado ranches and some of the farmers do go veggies that they bring to the market locally.  Further out in the county we do have farms, and part of the county is an ag reserve.  A

Hi Ron and Alexandra Seigel - That hay really does look fresh cut.  I wonder if horses appreciate it when it is fresh?  Just a pondering moment!!
