51 single family homes sold in Walnut Creek in the Third Quarter 2021 compared with 63 homes in the same quarter in 2020. New listings in Walnut Creek decreased to 33 with 24 fewer homes listed compared with one year ago. This is partially due to new construction activity winding down in Walnut Creek.
Homes sold 61 days more quickly in the 3rd Quarter 2021 than in 2020. The lower days on market of 23 days versus last year's 84 days is also reflective of less new construction activity. Average sale price was $419,786, up 18.55% year-over-year. This is about $16,000 higher than in the most recent quarter. The median sale price was $418000, up 19.31% year-over-year. The median sale price was about $11,000 higher than in the 2nd quarter 2021.
On average, home sellers received 102.9% of list price as a final sale price, while median sale to list price was 102.6% (up 2.2% since the Second Quarter 2021).
