I am sharing with you a great tools MagicJack phone it is an USB phone work very well. $19 per year.
it is great phone you can used as second line, voice mail it can work with some fax maching .
one thing is not good you have to hvae your computer on all the time if it is off calls goes to voicemail or forward to your cellphone for more information http://www.magicjack.com
I have heard of magic jack and checked into it a while ago and was wondering if they let you keep your same phone number or not.
Last that I saw you couldn't keep your current number. But for $19.yr plus $19 to buy the thing it woul dbe worth it to use as a second phon eline. I am even considering getting one and changing my business number to that number then just forwarding it to my cell phone when i am away from the computer.
It is a very good tool however you have to make sure that your internet speed is good otherwise you will get a bad signal
I've been using it in my office for about a week now. What I've noticed is that it is pretty reliable. I use it ONLYas an outgoing line and set it to forward to our receptionist. Need High speed internet and, as he mentioned, computer must be on and running.
If it rings clearly on the call out, you have a great connection that's typically as good as a landline. If it "skips" a little when you first call, I typically hang up and try it again quickly.
Good way to cut some long distance costs but it is not a cheap substitue for your office or home phone.

I forget to mention it is good for internatial , if it happen you are outside USA you can call without paying long distance, I sent to my family oversea we have same area code. they are offer 5 years for $49 , one month free trial
I'm still on the fence, but I've heard good things about it. I like the idea you can take it with you and use it from anywhere.
you can not keep your number , but when you have it it will be for life never change again
I just went ahead and ordered to give it a try; hopefully a good alternative to my little used home line through Qwest. Thanks for the post and everyone's comments.
