Let's discuss the Philadelphia election. Last night at Delaire Landing, the Democratic Party had a candidates' night. I'm assuming there aren't many Republicans. Charles Peruto Jr., who is running for district attorney in Philadelphia, says, "Enough is Enough," he is one of Philadelphia's most powerful criminal lawyers. He wants to stop gun violence on the streets of Philadelphia. He is not running for the money. This man knows how criminals think. He knows what makes them tick. Who better to stop crime on the streets of Philadelphia.
I will also say he was very passionate about this subject and convincing
I for one say to myself, let's watch the news to see who was shot tonight. I read a blog from someone in Chicago that ,Alan May wrote about the woman who was attacked and raped while people watched on the subway and did nothing in Philadelphia. The violence must stop and we need people who will work to stop this madness. We want to be able to walk these streets safely ENOUGH is ENOUGH
There was also a city controller to be re- elected, she wants an answer where did all the money go? A Supreme Court Judge Maria McLaughlin a very impressive woman born and raised in Philadelphia. Nothing was given to her, she was hardworking held three jobs as she worked her way through law school. Her Mom sick with cancer loosing her hair stood on the streets of Philly getting signatures for her. This is a down to earth lady. She will be someone special just her presence in this small community has my vote. It shows she cares for the common people.
We also had a wonderful surprise guest. Someone I hold in great esteem. Allan Domb. Here is a man who really loves Philadelphia. I can not say enough about him. He is working on so many wonder bills for the poor. He is fighting for businesses in Philadelphia so many have left the City. We must keep them here he says and he is right. We were so happy to have him and he stayed for pictures. It was a wonderful evening at Delaire Landing.
Special Thanks to all who made it possible your hard work is greatly appreciated
