ZOO BOO │ Kooky Not Spooky Halloween in Syracuse NY
Zoo Boo, one of Central New York's most popular fall events, is back to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo with a safe, enjoyable "kooky not spooky" daytime Halloween celebration.
It's been extended to four weekends in October, leading up to and including Halloween. With trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly animal encounters, keeper chats, games, activities, and picture ops, the zoo transforms into a kid-friendly haunt.
For this wonderfully amazing event, dress up and bring your treat bags!
In keeping with the zoo's conservation aim, all edible items given out at Zoo Boo contain only sustainably derived palm oil.
Costumes are encouraged, and entire families frequently get into the mood by putting together a group outfit. The zoo has suggested various costume themes for each of the four weekends to add to the fun. The following are the themes:
- October 9-10: Animals
- October 16-17: Witches and Wizards
- October 23-24: Superheroes
- October 30-31: Your favorite costume
The proceeds from Zoo Boo go to the zoo's animal care and conservation efforts.
