Our weekly mastermind began on the subject of trust. How many times, have we all said. "I should have trusted myself, I knew I was right!" I liked the following quotes, because the voice that tells us to do so, is always available. The more we listen, the stronger it gets and the less likely we are to doubt it.
"Our self-trust is such a subtle thing that it still comes around whispering to us even after we are sure it is gone." ~ Aiden Wilson Tozer
Golda Meir was the first prime woman Prime Minister of Israel elected in 1969.. The former Prime Minister, Ben Gurion often referred to her, as "the best man in the government!"
"Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life."
~ Golda Meir
The following quotes by Steven Covey and poet e.e. Cummings summed our discussion perfectly. Both make perfect sense. When you trust yourself, you can lead someone to do the same.
"The process of building trust is an interesting one, but it begins with yourself, with what I call self trust, and with your own credibility, your own trustworthiness. If you think about it, it's hard to establish trust with others if you can't trust yourself."
~ Stephen Covey
"Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit."
~ e. e. cummings
And this last quote also resonated with us. We are living in a world that is dominated by paid influencers that can reach humanity so much faster than before via social media. They are making a living like everyone else is.
However, we need to take a moment and decide, does their message resonate with who we are?
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Wishing Everyone a Wonderful November!
