Thanksgiving Challenge 2021...Grateful for Good Dentists!
We all need them and yet is there anyone out there who gleefully goes to the dentist?
However, I have been blessed to have 2 dental practices who have come to my rescue when I truly needed it, and very painlessly I might add.
In 2017 I broke off and swallowed part of my back tooth the day before the arrival of Hurricane Irma. I was lucky to catch Spodak Dental before they were closing their offices so everyone could go home and board up.
“Come in and even if we’re unable to work on it now, we’ll make sure that you won’t be in any pain during the hurricane.”
(Side note- my soon-to-be fired regular dentist didn’t return my call until late that night.)
Fast forward to this past weekend, I bit into an egg roll and out popped most of my front tooth. No pain but I was having my family over for a birthday dinner for my brother the next day. How was I going to keep my mouth closed all weekend??
My wonderful dentist (Councill Dental) here in Cypress called me on his way home from an all-day class and offered to stop by the office and see what he could do.
Instead, his partner met me first thing Saturday morning and glued me back together!!!
The staff in both practices know how fearful many of us are about going to the dentist and they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.
With other medical emergencies, you can go to the ER or Urgent Care facility. But with a dental emergency...where can you go??
I am so grateful for the staffs and dentists at Spodak and Councill Dental.
