Things I Am Thankful For: My Work Sphere
Our real estate business is a people business:
We help people to buy and sell houses
We interact with people to close our transactions.
And we get our prospects from the people we encounter along the way.
Provided we are doing our job right.
The more we interact the more business potentials we accumulate.
Past clients are always the best contacts to nurture for future business and I have been blessed to have kept in touch with former clients on a periodic basis with anniversary reminders and seasonal cards.
Of course the happiest clients are the clients that continue to offer my contact information to their friends. I am currently working with buyers that are friends of former clients. One has been so happy so far that even before we get a chance to get her a house, she has referred me to another friend of hers to also help.
My golf hobby not only keeps me smiling, but has also been a source of business and even this year as gotten me 2 listings. Some of those friends seem to relocate out of the state so I not only lose a golfing partner, but also friends
My short sale niche also benefits from a couple of bankruptcy lawyers that send their problem accounts my way, Unfortunately that is one pipeline that never seems to end.
I do enjoy the business and the friendships I have made. What I enjoy the most is that we can control our degree of activity and take the vacations and flex time when needed.
This is a post for the November Thankful Challenge hosted by Debe Maxwell.
