How do you write a real estate agent on your resume?

As a real estate agent, you are the expert. You know about homes and neighborhoods in your area that others don't. This knowledge will help you to successfully sell or rent properties for your clients. Of course, you can't list all of this information on your resume because it is too long and overwhelming. The key is to focus on what skills make you most qualified for the position; namely, listing relevant work experience and qualifications such as licenses and certifications. It might be helpful to give prospective employers an idea of how much time they should expect from you per day if they hire you so they can better plan their staffing needs accordingly. Discussing some of your past sales successes is always a good idea since it shows potential employers that there are measurable.

How far back should a resume go?

It can be difficult to know how far back your resume should go when you are creating it. Here is some advice on what to include and why.  It's never easy to write a blog post intro paragraph that is engaging, but this one does a good job of being informative without being too dry or boring. The reader learns about the topic at hand - making sense of what goes in a resume - while also getting some context for why they might want to read more. This intro gives them just enough information that they will want to continue reading, which makes it successful as an introduction.

A lot of people will tell you to list your most recent job first on your resume, but this is not always the best idea. There are some occasions where it's better to put more relevant work experience at the top of a resume. For example, if you have an older title that still has relevance for the position that you're applying for, then list it first. Or if you have been out of work for a while and want to highlight what skills you've had time to hone since then, make sure those are listed first. If nothing else though, make sure all important information about yourself is on there somewhere! You never know when someone might be looking over your resume who could change your life with one phone call.

Do you need a resume for a real estate interview?

You may be wondering, "Do I need a real estate agent resume?" This doesn't seem to make sense for an interview with a real estate company. You are right! But you do want to impress them on the phone and in person by having your most recent work experience (including any educational background) prepared beforehand. 

A good rule of thumb is that if you're interviewing for a management position then it's best to bring along your resume; however, for an entry-level position, it's not necessary unless they ask. 


Do you need a resume for a real estate interview? If you are applying for a position as an agent, the answer is yes. For other positions in this field, such as property management or appraiser, it may not be necessary.  The requirements of each job vary and so does the company's culture. Some want to see what kind of person they might hire while others just want to see your qualifications on paper. Knowing which type of employer you're interviewing with will help determine if you need one.  Do some research on the company before submitting your application and don't forget to read over any instructions given by them about their hiring process.
