Enjoying Thanksgiving and What's Left Over...
Well, the feast is done, the turkey was carved and served along with all the fixins. So what is next? Plenty of leftovers are what is left. I made enough food for at least 10 people and there were only four adults. There were never going to be more than four adults! Oh well, my husband had a big plate for breakfast and then another one for an early dinner. I have been informed that he is only going to have pie for dinner.
We get an extra day of Tristan to enjoy. We normally watch him while his dad goes to work. He will be staying over an extra night. We are blessed.
Then there are all the leftover emails from Black Friday and the prior week. We are talking about hundreds of emails. These are leftovers that I would rather say, "No Thank You"! The funny thing is that the same emails will be back again tomorrow and we will do this all over again.
Another "over" might be a "Do-over"... Meriam-Webster describes a do-over like this as "a new attempt or opportunity to do something after a previous attempt has been unsuccessful or unsatisfactory".
So, I might make a little less food in a "do-over" ...or maybe not! Maybe a do-over is needed because I enjoyed the day with the company of family and a special friend. Good food, good conversation, and good friendship. What more could we ask for on Thanksgiving 2021. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and can't wait to have a "do-over".

This year is not done and neither am I. I have inspections next week and more to come...
