On November 22, 2021, National Association of Realtors® (NAR) reported that a median home value price was $353,900 in October of 2021 jumped 13.1% from the price of $313,000 in October of 2020.
Single family home sales were at annual rate of 5.66 million units in October of 2021 higher 1.3% from the annual rate of 5.59 million home sales in September of 2021, but declined 5.8% from home sales rate in October of 2020. The median single family home price was $360,800 in October of 2021, rose 13.5% from October of 2020.
Condominium and co-op sales decreased 2.9% to an annual rate of 680,000 units in October of 2021 from 700,000 in September of 2021, and lower 5.6% from October of 2020. Median existing condo price was $296.00 in October of 2021, increased 8.7% from October of 2020.
Distressed homes sales were 1.0% in October of 2021 unchanged from 1.0% in September of 2021, and same as from 1.0% in October of 2020.
Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist, stated "Record-high stock markets and all-time high home prices have worked to significantly raise total consumer wealth and, when coupled with extended remote work flexibility, elevated housing demand in vacation regions."
