I firmly believe that no matter how long you have been doing something, be it a week or 10 years, you can still always learn something new from someone else. I so enjoy the AR community and in the short time I have been involved I have learned a great deal so thank you for that! I just wanted to share my experience with my COACH that I have at Keller Williams...Yes Keller Williams has coaches that you can work with to help increase your productivity and I would highly suggest looking into them if you are a KW agent.
How we work together:
First we have a contract where we both agreed to do certain things to make the business more forward. I am accountable and so is she. And I know you are wondering if I pay for this and the answer is "sort of"... She will receive a SMALL percentage of my first few deals...Which really is NOTHING for what she does! I truly and honestly believe this! And whatever it is is SO worth the investment in myself!
Second: I am ACCOUNTABLE to her..each week I fill out a form which just shows the numbers; for example:
- How Many Contacts did I make (and add to my SOI)
- How many contracts
- How many new listings
- How many new price reductions
- How many days did I work
- And the killer is how much did I produce in dollars
Third: I have an additional set of eyes to review all my contracts as well as someone to bounce my ideas off of in getting to the contract.
Fourth: She meets with me (us actually..teamVAhome.com) weekly to keep all of us on track with our marketing plans, business plans, and again the bottom line is to make us accountable! She also will use this time to ensure that Lead Generation is getting done, drip campaigns and hand written notes are done, and other details such as that which in the daily work day can get pushed aside until later. We usually only meet for one hour a week but again this is more to review our progress and keep all the plates spinning and again MAKE US ACCOUNTABLE! We meet alone as well as in larger groups with others that she coaches so that we can share our stories, help eachother achieve more and learn!
Fifth: She runs our training at our office so we are in touch with classes etc., (it makes us attend more of them which is a great thing) and keeps us not only motivated on the bad days and as she says "keeps us out of the drama" when things do not go as planned, but she is there is share on the good and great days too! She is a great role model and a wonderful friend!
Whatever company you work for I am sure you can find someone to work with you...this is just my personal experience which has made an impact in our business here at teamVAhome.com. Again, this is a great tool for someone who is new as well as someone who is looking to just grow and learn something new or get out of your comfort zone of doing what you always do..sometimes just finding a way to be accountable for the small stuff makes business move.
