Wordless Wednesday: Uprooted Kelp!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

The forces of high tide can be seen in this uprooted kelp tree.  Our Pacific waters have kelp forests that feed marine life.  They are a long distance from shore.

This picture was taken at the beginning of low tide, when the water recedes to its lowest point.

Sometimes, we see kelp that have rooted themselves to a large rock come up.  On close examinations there are kind of shells that live at the root.

Happy Wednesday Everyone

December is here!

I miss our kelp beds in Puget Sound. We have lost 60% of what those beds were in the 1970s Alexandra

Good morning, Alexandra... a post like this reminds me how long it's been since I had the pleasure of walking on a beach.

Pardon me, I'm having a flashback...

🎶 Now the beach is deserted except for some kelp

And a piece of an old ship that lies on the shore

You always responded when I needed your help

You gimme me a map and a key to your door.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS there are large beds of kelp around our coast.  I can see them from a distance.  Sorry to hear about the Puget sound.  Is it pollution that is causing that?  What delights me is that the water is so clear all the way to the islands when we have on a whale watch trip.  You can see the white of the dolphins bellies as they frolic under water...A
