As a lifelong resident of Spokane WA, I never had to look elsewhere to experience magical Holiday experiences! Growing up, it was mostly playing in the snow, going to church, and my moms home made Christmas painted windows.
Rasing our kids in Spokane, there was almost always a "White Christmas" filled with sledding, making snowmen, and living in Winter Wonderland!
One of our TV stations here has a list of 101 things to do over the holidays, KXLY has this link : https://www.kxly.com/101-things-to-do-in-the-inland-northwest-this-holiday-season-2/
Some of my favorite more recent Holiday " musts" are attending Christmas Tree Elegence , a fundraiser for the Spokane symphony: :https://spokanesymphonyassoc.org/home/christmas-tree-elegance/
Another is the lights at Manito Park !https://thefriendsofmanito.org/holiday/
Ice-skating at Riverfront Park, visiting Greenbluff farms and their festivities, snowshoeing a favorite trail system, or renting a place at a local lake resort can be super cozy and fun in the Winter!
I would love to hear some of your favorite Holiday activities! BethAnn in Spokane
