December 1, 2021 - Flower Mound Trees

Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

The trees of Flower Mound, Texas peaked today on December 1, 2021. No coats, sweaters, or jackets were needed on this beautiful first day of the month. As the sun began to shine early this morning until sunset the autumn leaves were vibrant in color.

This fiery red tree caught my eye this morning. Normally, I don't like stopping at traffic lights but as luck would have it today, I got the red light each time I drove through this intersection today and for that, I was glad.

2021 was a great year for Autumn foliage. I don't recall ever having a buyer tell me they want to buy a house without trees. Trees help with shade and cooling and improve the environment when it comes to breathing healthy, clean air.

New home owners look forward to the season of Autumn to see how dramatic trees of color change the looks of their neighborhood.

The life of trees is pretty miraculous. Trees seem to grow up with the neighbors in residential neighborhoods. It's always wonderful to drive down tree-lined streets, especially when autumn leaves are bursting with color. New neighbors move in as others move out, but the trees remain as long as they can.

Isn't it interesting how the sun that shines through the trees reflecting off the brick buildings with blue sky overhead seems to cast a light show of their own?

Many buyers start looking to buy as early as January, or early spring before the buds begin to bloom. Others wait until summer, but isn't it interesting to see what a neighborhood looks like in full color before winter?

This photo was taken just before the sunset. You can see the shadows getting ready for dark. It's as if the autumn leaves know their days are numbered and don't want to give up.

All of the photos of the trees I took today on December 1, 2021 were planted at the same time or shortly thereafter when the homes were built in the late 1990's or early 2000's. New construction is nice but slightly older homes with mature trees speak volumes!  If you are thinking about moving to Flower Mound, let me be your REALTOR® to help guide you in the purchase of your new home. ---Patricia Feager

Endre Barath, Jr. - I felt the same way yesterday! I got up very early and my first appointment was with the builder and my client and that's when I began to notice how gorgeous the trees were. The sun was out and the colors were so virbrant! I think this is the first time I ever mesmerized anyone here on ActiveRain. Thanks!

Hello Patricia - it's almost as if trees provide personality to a neighborhood or an area.  They definitely have an influence on a community.

Michael Jacobs - trees add diversity to the neighborhood in the most postive way! Yes! Here in Texas buyers are definitely influenced by the trees. Wooded lots by builders sell more and residential homes are often sold for more when people have trees on their property.

Awe... thank you, Brian England. Trees make me happy too. They are occupied with so many song birds that it gives me peace and music to my ears.

Kat Palmiotti - Flower Mound is always full of surprises. Trees are in abundance here. My daughter gets a kick out of visiting because when we go out for the evening, the birds are still in the trees singing their songs in the dark.

Lovely photos, Patricia... our trees peaked a week or two ago... most are now bare, but the temperatures are warm.

Nina Hollander, Broker - Aren't the colors gorgeous! It's so wonderful when they peak and sad knowing they are short lived. But the best is when they repeat and come back again and again and again. Every season has something good to look forward to.

Nina Hollander, Broker - Your orange tree out front was absolutely gorgeous! I am lucky because I get a view of lot of houses because I'm in a cul-de-sac and my neighbor directly across from me does an excellent job every year.

You're very lucky you don't live across the street from me. I don't decorate because I never had luck with electric lights on bushes and I can't reach the top of my house. I don't dare stand on ladders anymore. I do wish I could decorate and pay someone, but I just can't.

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP while I miss my gorgeous orange tree in front of my office window, now I have a clear view of my neighbor's home across the street which has the most amazing Christmas decorations, which she had professionally installed. So it's all good. The prior owners were Jewish and for 15 years I stared at a "dark" house during Christmas season.
