The trees of Flower Mound, Texas peaked today on December 1, 2021. No coats, sweaters, or jackets were needed on this beautiful first day of the month. As the sun began to shine early this morning until sunset the autumn leaves were vibrant in color.
This fiery red tree caught my eye this morning. Normally, I don't like stopping at traffic lights but as luck would have it today, I got the red light each time I drove through this intersection today and for that, I was glad.
2021 was a great year for Autumn foliage. I don't recall ever having a buyer tell me they want to buy a house without trees. Trees help with shade and cooling and improve the environment when it comes to breathing healthy, clean air.
New home owners look forward to the season of Autumn to see how dramatic trees of color change the looks of their neighborhood.
The life of trees is pretty miraculous. Trees seem to grow up with the neighbors in residential neighborhoods. It's always wonderful to drive down tree-lined streets, especially when autumn leaves are bursting with color. New neighbors move in as others move out, but the trees remain as long as they can.
Isn't it interesting how the sun that shines through the trees reflecting off the brick buildings with blue sky overhead seems to cast a light show of their own?
Many buyers start looking to buy as early as January, or early spring before the buds begin to bloom. Others wait until summer, but isn't it interesting to see what a neighborhood looks like in full color before winter?
This photo was taken just before the sunset. You can see the shadows getting ready for dark. It's as if the autumn leaves know their days are numbered and don't want to give up.
All of the photos of the trees I took today on December 1, 2021 were planted at the same time or shortly thereafter when the homes were built in the late 1990's or early 2000's. New construction is nice but slightly older homes with mature trees speak volumes!
