The high road...

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential

Good morning!!

Today I woke thinking about “the high road”…

The high road is a bumpy road…

It is a road full of rocks, craggy places, and a road illed with plenty of pitfalls…

The high road is a lonely road…

It is keeping your chin up.  Doing the right thing.  Having a positive attitude even when you are hurting…

It is a road less traveled…

For it is far easier to take a different road.  A different path…

A path that makes one want to scream “Why me?”

A path that blames others…

A path that is very crowded with others doing the same thing…

Wallowing in each others issues.  Gossiping…

But on that different path, or different road, there is no healing…

There is no acknowledgment of one’s role in their own issues…

It is a road that leads to nowhere…

Just more of the same.  Blame.  Bitterness.  Anger and rage…

So today I choose to stay on the high road…

For it is road of good.  Of kindness.  Of love.  Of compassion...

Of strength…

Of forgiveness.  Forgiveness both for oneself and for others…

It is my road.  My path.  My journey…

Because, for me at least…

It is the only road…

Good mornig Ken. Nobody said the high road is easy. Sometimes the price paid for using it outweighs the benefits. Then again what goes around comes around. Stay the course. Enjouy your day!

Hello Ken - being alone on ones path does not necessarily mean solitary confinement in any sense of the term.

Hi Michael!!  Certainly not, however the low road is much more crowded generally...

There's a lot to be said about taking the high road. As for your photo, I love it! It's exactly the kind of road I would love to explore.
