Carlsbad Village Holiday Tree Lighting

The 36th annual holiday tree lighting will take place Sunday, December 5th in downtown Carlsbad Village, at the front entrance to the Carlsbad Village Faire shopping center at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive. This festive traditional event runs from 2:00 – 5:00 pm!
Get into the holiday spirit! Come join this annual celebration, along with other Carlsbad residents, in the heart of Carlsbad Village, sponsored by the Carlsbad Rotary Club.
The Carlsbad Village Holiday Tree Lighting celebration begins at 2:00 with a variety of holiday activities until 4 pm.
Santa is scheduled to arrive at 2:15 in an antique fire truck along with his elf and Mrs. Claus., followed by Mayor Hall. There will be visits and free photos with Santa, plus candy canes.
The holiday program starts after Santa’s arrival, with several performances before the tree lighting.

At 4:30 the annual tree lighting will officially be lit by Carlsbad Mayor Hall after the conclusion of the holiday program.
Kids will enjoy story-telling and holiday crafts, thanks to the Carlsbad Library Learning Center. And the Carlsbad Rotary will offer free cookies, coffee and hot cider.
